Bugs Bunny Cake Pans

Eh...what's up doc? Are you baking a cake? If you are, you might want to use one of these Bugs Bunny cake pans. Bugs Bunny is a timeless cartoon character. In fact, in 2002, Bugs Bunny was named by TV Guide as the best cartoon character of all time, even though some resemblance of him had first appeared way back in 1930's. It was not until July 27, 1940 that both he and Elmer Fudd appeared together in their fully developed forms, and the rest is history!

There are several variations of Bugs Bunny cake pans available on the market. There are some with just Bugg's head, some with his body or partial body and some with Bugs playing a drum. You will need grayish-blue or light blue icing for his body, white and black for his eyes, and either pink or light yellow for the insides of his ears. You will also need pink for his nose and inside of his mouth. Depending upon the pan, you may also need orange color for the carrot or another color for the drums.

Bug Cake Pan

Bug cake pans might seem creepy at first, but they can actually make very cute cakes. Bug cake pans include such themes as ladybugs, dragonflies, ants, etc. There are even bug cake pans that represent the 1998 movie called "It's a Bug's Life" that was about a conflict between a colony of ants and the grasshoppers that tried to steal their food supply.

Bug cakes should normally be decorated in very bright colored icing. If you need any help with the colors, you can do a search on the web and easily find pictures of the real animals. My suggestion is to do several small cakes, where each cake is a different bug. Do these cakes for a party or special event and your guests will think it is...you guessed it....cute as a bug!
